I'm looking into Endless Legend and that seems REALLY promising, as it looks like it has the great points of Planetfall but the combat looks way faster. Age of Wonders: Planetfall actually is the closest thing to what I've been looking for, with city building and annexing regions separately but I don't love the combat system and find it slow.
I've looked into Europa Universalis 4 and Hearts of Iron 4 (haven't played much of either) but seems like they both only have regions and no cities, but I do like the general idea of country-management in these games, even if they look a little difficult for me.Įndless Space 2 kind of has what I'm looking for, with individual planets within a system and controlling many systems but I didn't love the space theme and would like to play with cities rather than planets. I'm looking for just a general Civ-like that's not TOO hardcore and isn't too old.
